Many Brits living abroad are still keen to keep a UK base to spend quality time with their loved-ones, or as a place to escape to during extreme temperatures over the summer months. Whilst many will choose to purchase a flat or house, a holiday home on a maintained park could actually be the perfect option.
In this blog, we look at the many advantages owning a holiday home as a ‘second home’ could bring.
Benefits of a park holiday home
Brand-new, luxurious, two-bed holiday homes at Raylands are available for between £30,000 and £69,995. Taking into consideration the cost of flats and houses, particularly in the south east of the country, this marks a considerable saving.
The majority of parks, including Raylands, are also fully maintained to an extremely high-standard, so our owners can just turn up and enjoy their time instead of having to worry about mowing lawns and completing essential maintenance work.
As a park for those who are aged 50 and over, and with no holiday home sub-letting available, our owners also cite the sense of community that runs through the park as a pleasant surprise; many choose to socialise together in the onsite bar.
Great location
As well as having beautiful countryside on our doorstep, we also have great airport and rail links, with Gatwick Airport and Horsham and Gatwick railway stations close by. Additionally, the beautiful beaches of the south coast are just over 20 miles away and London can be reached within an hour by train.
Enjoy creature comforts with a holiday home
The holiday homes we have available at Raylands have all the home from home comforts you would expect to find in a flat or house, including fully fitted kitchens with integrated appliances, tasteful and contemporary decoration, ensuite bathrooms, and king-sized beds.
Additionally, double-glazing, central heating and feature fireplaces all help to create a cosy and pleasant feel, and decking areas can be added so a tranquil outside area can be enjoyed.

Why Raylands is ideal
Our owners can make use of their holiday homes for 11 months of the year, as we only close for January. This is usually from around the 5th of the month so our owners are able to enjoy New Year’s Eve celebrations on the park.
They can also invite guests and family to the Raylands, and our onsite club house, beer garden and communal lounge are perfect for spending time together. We also have a tennis court, launderette, well-kept field where dogs can enjoy a run, and free WiFi.
If you’re looking for a UK base and would like to visit Raylands, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to give you a tour.
