Christmas Fun: 5 of the best locations near Raylands Country Park

There’s plenty of Christmas activities surrounding Raylands Country Park to get you into the festive spirit! Enjoy easy access to some of the UK’s most popular attractions, including Brighton seaside and the city of London.

From West Sussex countryside to the city of London and frosty trees to bright lights, our easy access destinations are the ideal places to celebrate this Christmas:

1. London

Visiting London, or ‘town’, is an integral part of Christmas in UK. Every year, London holds some of the most famous Christmas attractions, including Winter Wonerland based in Hyde Park. Another popular Christmas activity includes, yes you guessed it, SHOPPING! There’s no place better to shop in London other than Oxford Street – an endless street of highend and hightstreet shops including Selfridges, Nike Town, Zara and so much more.

2. Brighton

As much as Brighton is popular for it’s sunny days out to the beach, don’t be surprised to learn that plenty of magic happens here during the Christmas period. Every November, the Royal Pavilion Ice Rink returns so families and friends can enjoy skating by the exotic palace. On 21st December, you can join the Brighton community on the seafront, where there will be a warm, toasty bonfire as part of their traditional Burning the Clocks ceremony.

3. Horsham

The historic town is definitely worth a visit this Christmas. Throughout December, you can discover festive markets on the streets of Horsham every weekend. You can also enjoy the entertaintment of wandering street acts every Saturday between 3pm to 5pm.

And if you love Christmas lights, you wouldn’t want to miss out on the upcoming Light Up Horsham Project! It involves a series of free Christmas shows, lights and a few surprises! It will be running from 30th November to 31st December, 4pm to 8pm.

Explore Chichester this festive season by visiting Chicester Christmas Market, which will be running from 7th – 15th December. The Christmas market is popular for it’s range of unique Christmas presents, festive food and drinks. Chichester’s city centre is aslo a great place for some Christmas shopping, with it’s variety of high street brands and markets.

Celebrate Christmas with Raylands

Join us this festive season as we hold our traditional Christmas dinner. Every year, all our owners can come together to enjoy a full four course meal, accompanied by some refreshments in our Club House.

The fun doesn’t stop there… there will also be carol singing and we will be holding Secret Santa!

Spend the New Year at Raylands

We will be leaving the park open for the first week of January so our owners can join us for New Year celebrations. After the celebrations, the park will close for the rest of the month, enabling us to complete essential maintenance before our owners are welcomed back to enjoy their holiday homes from February onwards.

Christmas is always a special time of the year and here at Raylands Country Park, it’s no different.

We’re open 11 months of the year including December.

We’re open around the Christmas period until 5th January 2020.
